Community Service Opportunity - Pumpkin Patch : This is the eleventh year that Holy Cross Episcopal Church has sponsored the Pumpkin Patch in Fort Bend County and it’s a great opportunity for students looking for Community Service Hours. The Pumpkin Patch opens Saturday, October 7th and will run four weekends in October through Sunday, October 29th. The Pumpkin Patch is in operation on Saturday from 9a-7p(Dark) and on Sunday from 12p-7p(Dark). We also need volunteers for the "Pallet Drop" and "Pumpkin Unloading".
I am asking that all volunteers go to the Pumpkin Patch web site or the Holy Cross web site in order to SignUp for one or more of the available dates and the many available volunteer opportunities. We have about 200 individual volunteer opportunities each weekend for your students! Signing up in advance truly helps us plan our day.....no volunteer will ever be turned away.
Go to the Pumpkin Patch web site and review the many volunteer opportunities at the Patch. Sign up for one or more of the available dates/shifts. Everybody is encouraged to sign up online. If you don’t, we’ll find a place for you.…..no volunteer has ever been turned away.

Service hours opportunity Grand Parkway Baptist church
We know many of you are looking for ways to serve others, so here is a great opportunity! Since most area schools are cancelled for next week, we are hosting a Kids Day Out on Tuesday, September 5 from 9:30am-1:30pm to give our kids a chance to get out of the house and our parents a reprieve! This will allow some families who experienced damage a chance to clean their homes knowing that their kids are being cared for, and it will allow others to step in to clean who might not be able to do that with little ones around.
We could use some help pulling this event off at the last minute, so please let us know how you can help at this time. We need volunteers to serve in classrooms, lead stations (games, crafts, service project, balloon art, face painting), help in the kitchen, and donate food. There is a place for everyone to pitch in! If you have other gifts (anyone juggle? magic tricks? have hidden talents?), now's your chance to show them off! Just email Jana or Krista to let us know how you'd like to help.
WE NEED LOTS OF TEENS, TOO! Need service hours? Here's a great way to get some!
